According to the Express, Philip Glenister and John Simm will star in the proposed Ashes to Ashes spin off.

So Sam will also return.

The BBC press release on 'Ashes to Ashes' has no mention of John Simm returning. I'd say it was very doubtful.

John Simm won't be returning, according to many sources (London Lite, Evening Statndard) although there hasn't been any mention of the other three main characters.

We've got a year though & they don't start filming the series till the summer so we should just wait & see

Something a friend of mine pointed out to me. Sam seemed to be returned to beyond 2007, to an age where brain surgery can be performed without shaving any hair off Very Happy
