Ah, excellent stuff in the way of symbols there! Cylinder 2, 90's Fridge sting 2, the recent BBC 1 Snowball...And that above pic of the Wales Globe looks really magnificent - it's all good.

Tonight's ep just had an additional 'quite strong language' warning on the network version symbol, which I don't remember previously - it definitely wasn't on the first few eps.

EDIT: Looks like a similar warning, plus an extended description featured in Wales, which (additional text aside) looks to have been edited during the 'interference' part by first showing a glimpse of a current regular ident (Bikes in this case).

FFS - was this really necessary? It certainly dampened the authenticity of the announcement and I think regular viewers know what to expect by now.

I see what you're saying, but not everyone is a regular viewer, and they probably have to say it or they would get into trouble, though I don't know if it is required by law.

Put it this way, if I was a head of Pres, and Ofcom rules didn't insist on these warnings, I wouldn't use them.

Yep, the Wales version had the warning to. Bit late after six episodes! Totally unnecessary too. I was impressed last week's didn't have a "this programme contains mild racist language which may offend some viewers".

No preview clip at the end of the episode! Wild horses couldn't keep me away from next week. Very Happy

Two other points - I recorded off Wales on Sky and the colour seemed to fade in and out a bit throughout, especially noticeable on flesh tones. My problem or was that how it was broadcast?

And on a pres note, great to see the old red "now" slide with the four channel logos and programmes on next after the episode. I always thought that was so much better than the white scribble image version. Bring it back, Network!

Albeit the BBC TWO version was still yellow squares back in late Feb which is now outdated, and I can't see only BBC One reverting, but it is graphically superior to the sketchy monitors, I can agree with that.

Suppose they had to include a language warning as it's rare that a 9pm BBC1 programme includes the F--- word, which Life On Mars did tonight.

Or it could have just been a wry joke for effect/parody! Perhaps not meant to be taken seriously Laughing

I take it that Muppet Labs is one of the team at BBC Wales then.

Something I noticed a while back, the BBC Wales globe has a modern addition to it. Can see what it is?
