Which appearing in the middle of the News 24 0900 headlines the other day!
As to Library Pictures - you tend to see them when it's something contraversial .... as Techy Peep put it the majority of news pieces probably have some library pictures in them.
BBC World use them more - but tend to put dates up to show that they're old pictures.

So does BBC News 24

A prime example of 'Library Pictures' being used is September 11th. All the newscasters dug out those 1993 videos of Osama Bin Laden when he was first suspected. Even though the guy is a terroist he is certainly made most of the world know his name!

Library .... only this past year have I realised myself the meaning of this, so you're not alone

Stop the world!
Ryan, have you ever stopped to read your posts, and reflect on what a pompous idiot you sound!
Who cares if 'you yourself have realised this'.
Contribute with facts or opinions, but not just for the sake of seeing your name.
Sorry everyone else - rant over.

Be quiet Cornholio.

Yes, BBC912, up until September the 11th I had never heard of Bin Laden.

The other use for 'Library Pictures' astons is when people are featured prominately, when they were actually filmed ages ago.

EG. say you were filmed last year walking down a street, but the photos were shown again today.... when you were supposedly at work!

Woo hoo - I win twice.

I knew what Library pictures were AND I'd heard of Osama bin Laden! Do I win a prize?
Hmmmmmmmm.

Nothing really TV related to say so I'll leave you to it.

Hail Santa!
