Oh yay, yet another show on ITV1 with Mr Smarmy himself Vernon Kay.

A new sports entertainment show with the judging panel made up of - Rio Ferdinand, Freddie Flintoff, Martine McCutcheon and Una Healy.

Read all about it here....If you really want to that is! Smile

I've a feeling Iwan Thomas will turn up on this show at some point.

I think ITV need to move away from the likes of Ant and Dec and Vernon Kay, are these the only presenters around these days?

It sounds awful on paper but from the pics looks to be basically a mini Britain's Got Talent for the sporting type acts, which are usually amongst my favourites on the show, so might not be quite as bad as first feared, though the judging panel is awful bar Flintoff.

ITV have got a lot more presenters than that, such as Philip Schofield, Bradley Walsh, Chris Tarrant, Paddy McGuinness and Ben Shephard (who's presenting Tipping Point, starting next week)

The programme is possibly aimed at chavs.

Yes.

(Well, they are if you're an ITV executive, clearly.)

They're chosen because it's believed they'll bring the punters and they already pay a lot of money for them.

But plenty of other names are on big light entertainment shows for ITV. Phillip Schofield, Stephen Mulhern, Harry Hill, Bradley Walsh, Paddy McGuinness and Keith Lemon all spring to mind. Yes, the ones you've mentioned are used a lot but there is good reason and they're certainly not the only ones used.

*** Just noticed Kernow already made my point.
