So I spotted this today, a new initiative by the major mobile phone providers so advise on issues related to 4G switch-on in the 800mhz brand-range, which could in some areas effect freeview reception.

To be honest, I thought that was the point of DSO, so mobile and TV frequencies wouldn't clash, this initiative has confused me now...

DSO was to have originally cleared UHF channels 63-68, but it was decided part way through the DSO that UHF ch.61 and 62 needed to be cleared as part of an international consensus on the matter, giving the whole of the 800MHz band to mobile operators. I did a piece on it at http://www.a516digital.com/p/4g-clearance-retunes-background.html if anyone's interested.
