Any come to mind? Was talking to a colleague today about greatest sportsman and reminded of that Sky show that Des Lynam co-presented with Sir David Frost.

Remember also those dreadful mid-90s ITV specials with Sir David Frost & Uri Geller.

There was of course the disastrous pairing of Twiggy and Coleen Nolan fronting This Morning after Richard & Judy left, something which is always conveniently forgotten about on occasions when they look back on the show’s past.

That short-lived "era" of TM also only had a short sting opening, rather than a full proper title sequence.

Thank goodness that no other mainstream daytime programme has ever done likewise since. Oh, wait...

Didn't that series begin with a full title sequence, which was later dropped? (Certainly by the time Fern and John were bedded in.)

There's also virtually zero video evidence online that this ever happened, so they've managed to bury it pretty well.

With him in the news this week and Eamonn and Ruth back on This Morning I recall that Richard Bacon and Denise Van Outen fronted one of the early summer series.

James Martin and Anita Rani also turned out to be a bit of a disaster, ITV obviously trying to push James Martin as the next big thing but failing quite badly.

No I remember watching the first episode and it was literally a 5 second sting to open the programme. It fell incredibly flat, particular as the long theme had previously been an integral part of the show.

A still of the sting can be seen here:

Ratings collapsed very quickly and Fern Britton was paid a lot of money to cut short her maternity.

Here's the sting in question:

Incredibly cheap considering it was meant to be a major relaunch.

When Fern returned it was replaced by a bizarre blend of the final R&J era titles and the 'scroller' titles of the mid 90s. They would fade into the coming up menu while the theme was still playing, and at the end of the menu the above sting would play.

Edit: You can see part of what I've described above here:

I was just trying to find clips of Twiggy era This Morning (after my post saying there isn't any videos of it online, and to confirm, there really isn't) and actually came across a video using the titles you describe, which I'd never seen before and look incredibly naff, like someone had to rush them and did them in 10 minutes.

Only seen in London, and probably wasn't all that unusual at the time, but Rowland Rivron and Davina McCall fronting Good Stuff in the late '90s.

Also, Julian Clary and Emily Maitlis fronting the second series of Come and Have a Go... If You Think You're Smart Enough in 2005.

While we're at it, Julian Clary and June Whitfield in All Rise For Julian Clary.

They retained the cheap logo though didn't they until the autumn IIRC. I don't recall them going back to that logo officially, though a mess if they used it in the titles then used something else at the end.
