Les popped up in "The Bill" recently and he was really good in that too. So he can play other characters. I think he could be a good actor.

I also remember he had a part in Brookside.

and he had a part in Family Affairs - very soon after he quit Family Fortunes!!!!

That'll explain why I've never seen him in anything else, I've never watched a full episode of a soap in my life.

There was an advert in Bristol’s venue magazine last week looking for contestants for a new quiz show with Les on Five. Shame my TV trivia is so rubbish, I might have applied otherwise!

Very Very Very similar to the thread and posts trying to advertise the god-awful Philip Schofield show and that soon went down the pan!!!!

Funnily enough, someone (probabally the same person) registered on DS, after the show has been axed, to defend the show, said how good it was and how it would be "brursting back on our screens". In the end, we got them to admit they were connected with the show.

Why do they insist on posting on such forums? It's not as if its going to make a massive difference to their viewing figures is it? Confused

Plus the kind of shows that they've been advertising are exactly the kind of shows people like us don't watch! Bring back Swap Shop is the best we can come up with Very Happy

He's probably a researcher whose job is to get people to and/or interested in these shows.

I was offered tickets for the Charlotte Church show, and then got several phone calls offering more tickets, and asking if I had any friends I would like to set up as part of an embarrassing your mates feature

It's probably quite useful to come on board like this to drum up some interest. Word of mouth shouldn't be underestimated; not to mention the useful feedback that can come from internet chatter.
