It seems like the sort of show that starts off in early peak and then creeps earlier and earlier in the schedule to be burned off. (Puppet Gameshow, Don't Scare the Hare).

It's already an hour earlier by episode 4 on 9 September. It can't get much earlier because of Final Score.

It can, it can be one of those shows that turns up at about 3:40pm on weeks when there isn't a full programme of sport.

Don't you mean weeks where BBC1 can't find a copy of Escape to the Country to show! Wink

So, anyone remember this show?

Judging by my sleuthing of the web, it seems that the first series and a Christmas special were recorded at the same time in June. Then at the start of August - a few weeks before the first series had even begun airing - the second series began recording.

The first series as far as I can tell was supposed to be a six episode run, as the BBC Press Office programme information pages clearly say 'Ep X/6', but the sixth episode that was presumably to air on 23rd September was replaced with a new episode of Pointless Celebrities - a new run perhaps starting a week earlier than planned, as the last new episode had been in May.

The show hasn't been dropped completely though, as it returned after a six week break with the sixth episode finally airing on the 4th November. However it seems as though they are now treating both series as though it is a single twelve episode run, with the episodes now being billed as 'X/12', and what I assume was supposed to be the second series airing straight after as episodes 7-12. Don't know if the Christmas special will air at some point though.

Further installments of 'VMPhil, Television Investigator' to follow.

A terrible one idea format, poorly executed.
It looks like what Catchphrase would look like on a tenth of the budget given to them for the in show graphics.
