I love how Len Goodman's new show has been scheduled to start at "10 to Seven" (as in "It's a 10 from Len" and "SEVEEEN!" )

EDIT: I really wanted to like this show, and am trying hard to get through it and give it a chance... But it basically felt screamingly dire and strained from the offset, sadly.

Len came across well but it was a poor gameshow, it felt like a poor version Wonkey Donkey.

I felt it was a bit like a poor rip-off of Catchphrase!

Like I said on my tweet: I quite like it. It's a change from normal, general knowledge game shows. You can easily play along too.

(don't question why I have the Trivago woman as my profile picture, please.)

Not with round 2. That's where it lost me last week.

Toe-curlingly bad television. I can't believe so many people were involved in this, judging by the end credits.

It really is horrible to watch. And the consolation pen prize is an insult.

Two series and a Christmas special, the latter having been recorded already*, have been commissioned so they are clearly banking on this being a hit.

*I know it's usual for shows to do Christmas specials in the summer, but I wonder where it'll end up in the schedules if this series does poorly.

EDIT: Oh wait, it seems as though series 2 has been recorded as well! Bets are now on as to whether it'll see the light of day. https://www.instagram.com/p/BXQYO3UhJbw/

When the promos for the show went out earlier this month, it didn’t pique my interest, but Partners in Rhyme staggeringly managed to be worse than I thought. Tried watching the first episode on iPlayer, and switched off after a few minutes.

Ratings will be interesting to see tomorrow...

The title sequence alone is an abomination and enough to get anyone reaching for their remotes.

And the titles are the best bit.

It seems like the sort of show that starts off in early peak and then creeps earlier and earlier in the schedule to be burned off. (Puppet Gameshow, Don't Scare the Hare).

What does tagging the name of the presenter on to the title of the show really add ? Is Len Goodman's association that much of a draw. Why can't it just be 'Partners in Rhyme' ?
