I see there are no Learning Zone programmes listed next week nor the week after from 2-6am on BBC-2.
News-24 is running through until BBC-1 takes it over.
Then BBC-2 goes to "Pages From Ceefax" until 6am.
I don't recall there being a summer break before for Learning Zone programming on BBC-2.
Only at Christmas there is usually a two-week respite.

i think it might be because They Only Show Languages & Schools Programmes now.
They Don't Show The OU Or Workskills Programmes anymore.

Just a quick question.

Is the Learning Zone still using that awful branding from 1997 with the tree?

Dare I say that, had it rebranded this year, it could well have been worse, given presentation trends since 1997...

It's actually not a bad package; the problem lies in that there are a good bunch of 'seasonal' idents - showing people around the oak tree at different times of the year - that rarely, if ever, get used by the Beeb these days.

Add to that the Medium and Long versions of the Acorn sequence which are again seldom used and it's no wonder it has become tiresome seeing the same, plain short ident used each night and week.
