This morning at the 0700 opt in LDN couldn't get any of the reports to run, so poor Mike Ramsden was forced to cut to UK Today - but who was it presenting - he looked like our very own Nicky Schiller - but he looks very different to his photo on 60secs - was it him??

ps - UK Today is well done - better than the LDN opts - LDN can't even fade out their title theme!!

The productionn slide at the end either stays on too long or gets faded off before the captions fade up at the end
Yep - I think BBC Ldn are using an automatic sound mixer for their breakfast opts (and also the 2225 I think), this doesn't seem to understand how to gently fade out music...
(I believe the director has a fader for the presenter mic, and an overall 'everything-else-after-it-has-been-mixed' fader... Cheap in terms of staffing... Hardly great for quality though)

It indeed was our own Nicky. First time I have seen him on TV!
