Today's OFCOM bulletin makes interesting reading

There are various items which would be of interest effecting the BBC, ITV and of course the usual mix of dodgy digital channels

I note that TALKSPORT has had a lot of complaints.

I find that the station is quite contrversial but it is entertaining and thought provoking.

And most complaints are probably triggered from where James Whale and Jon Gaunt cut people off!!!

This Morning is a weekday live magazine programme broadcasting a mixture of

next door”.

The annual Glastonbury Festival was broadcast live and in recorded highlights on
BBC2 over the weekend of 22, 23 and 24 June 2007. One viewer contacted Ofcom
stating that he was concerned that whilst watching the highlights coverage of
Glastonbury at approximately 17:50 on Saturday 23 June 2007, a member of the
band, The Arctic Monkeys, said “Now **** come on now”. The complainant
considered that this language could have been edited out.

When I read these reports sometimes I think some of those viewers are either sheltered or are smoking some dodgy drug.

Though the complaints about pre-watershed broadcasts of language many would find obscene are obviously understandable. Many of us here might not find such language unacceptable, but many others will, and the watershed is there for a reason.

Be grateful we don't live in the US - where the FCC nannies terrestrial broadcasters (but not cable/satellite) into keeping almost anything that would be considered "adult" (in language or nudity terms) by anyone off-air at ANY time - whether it has any artistic justification or not...

The sponsors logo is now shown much smaller with an ITV.com logo in the main box, as there was undue prominance before
