Is it my imagination, or has this thread become the started of a pitched battle between the so-called BBC Brigade and the newly-dubbed (by me) ITV Itinerants?

Very well done BBC, you were on time tonight for the first time this week.

Got to give credit where it's due. Laughing

If I didn't actually have a fond regard for many fellow tvf posters, I would, frankly, be alarmed by the people sitting there watching the second hand to check the exact time the news starts. Wink

Be like me and don't have television in your house! Wink

We don't have internet either, and we ran out of credit on our gas slotmeter today Embarassed

5 Days of living in a shared Uni house, and things are already going pear-shaped. I won't mention the fact I managed to demolish the garden fence with my car... *ahem*

Don't worry, James, I'm sure you'll get it together sooner or later. Very Happy

The girls I live with put a sign above the toilet saying "Please put the seat down". Surely a toilet seat should remain up in the interests of hygiene? Wink

When NTL get off their arses and connect a phoneline to my house, I'll shove a blog onto digitalvibe.co.uk of all the fun, frolics and photos of uni life.

Back on topic, and I managed to see a very grainy One O Clock News this afternoon and it's really weird watching it in 14:9. It's actually a tidy looking aspect ratio. (I used the word 'Tidy'. Surely I'm not picking up a welsh valleys dialect already? Laughing)

Yes, but as I said before, it's an EXCEPTION that BBC News starts late, rather than the RULE of news starting late on ITV.....

Has seeing a 22:00 news programme start on time to the second provided you with a new experience? You're not used to this punctuality being accustomed, as you are, to watching ITV 22:00 shows are you?

If you keep watching BBC news at 22:00, you'll adjust...... eventually......
