Late Ten O'Clock News?

Is it my imagination, or has this thread become the started of a pitched battle between the so-called BBC Brigade and the newly-dubbed (by me) ITV Itinerants?

Very well done BBC, you were on time tonight for the first time this week.

Got to give credit where it's due.

If I didn't actually have a fond regard for many fellow tvf posters, I would, frankly, be alarmed by the people sitting there watching the second hand to check the exact time the news starts.

The girls I live with put a sign above the toilet saying "Please put the seat down". Surely a toilet seat should remain up in the interests of hygiene?

Back on topic, and I managed to see a very grainy One O Clock News this afternoon and it's really weird watching it in 14:9. It's actually a tidy looking aspect ratio. (I used the word 'Tidy'. Surely I'm not picking up a welsh valleys dialect already? )

Yes, but as I said before, it's an EXCEPTION that BBC News starts late, rather than the RULE of news starting late on ITV.....

Has seeing a 22:00 news programme start on time to the second provided you with a new experience? You're not used to this punctuality being accustomed, as you are, to watching ITV 22:00 shows are you?

If you keep watching BBC news at 22:00, you'll adjust...... eventually......
