The guy replacing them has been on the last few shows I have seen. They seem to be easing him into the post. I do not like him and I think that SM:TV will start to do what L&K did when Jamie and Zoe left, nosedive. wait and see>

But SM:TV Live has still got:
a) Catherine Noddy Slade Deeley:) (thats a joke for you non-SMTV Live'rs)
b) The comedy writers

Of course Challenge Ant, Wonkey Donkey, Anty and Decy will be hard to do again, but
Eat my Goal, Cat the Dog, Fartbeat, Postbag, etc could still be done...

GMTV is already downhill, and if it went then I certainly wouldn't be sorry. Smile

You remember Live and Kicking's follow up to Trevor and Simon called Ben, Gez and Rich. Well Ben and Gez do all the comedy writing for SMTV.

I'll be honest, I was almost in tears at the end of today's SMTV and CDUK! Anyone who says that Ant and Dec are talentless and unfunny has obviously never seen them, they are the two funniest people on TV and will be around for a very long time!

Today's SMTV was quite possibly the best one I've ever seen, Chums was fantastic (yet sad), and the rest of the programme was the usual high standard. I'm quite concerned about the choice of new presenter, James Redmond, but they must have their reasons for choosing him so I'll give him a chance. As long as they don't get stupid annoying Brian Whatshisface off Big Brother presenting as well, like they threatened to, then I'll be happy.

I think SMTV will survive with Cat at the helm, she's a great presenter but I don't see her sticking it out for much longer. If you ask me, it's a crime that she isn't already all over the TV. She'll have her own Saturday night show before long, you mark my words!

They did so many of them, they were always re-cycled and brought back, although one of the better ones to date had to be f'art attack, where Neil Buchannan actually appeared!

Anyone remember the old days of Giant Grabbit?

What were the comments about Live & Kicking that they made?

It was when Frank Skinner was looking back on the boy's at SM:TV, and he asked the question 'How did it feel beating L&K?' I was in stitches!!!!!

I agree that it still has Cat but I think it will be hard to do sketches that are well known for being Ant and Decs.

I just do not like the new guy from what I have seen and, some of the best sketches and features are the ones that are going.

Must wait and see.

Step forward more Cat the Dog, Eat My Goal, Wonkey Donkey, possibly FartBeat. But hopefully the opportunity for loads more funny sketches.

I think they do actually need one more presenter. Ant & Dec worked well as a double act, but to get the best out of the sketches, I reckon they'll need another face as well.

Wonkey Donkey won't be as good without Declan shouting at the callers, its got to rhyme!

Plus, the kids are too good at it lately, the first caller getting the answer !

Apparently one new sketch features James Redmond as a George Clooney-style doctor, and there are several other new ones as well. Anyone else think that they should get Edith Bowman presenting as well? She's great with Cat on MTV.

I have always been a massive A&D fan, (apart from Byker Grove which I can't stand with or without the lads) but since the A&D Show on CBBC all those years ago I've been a fan of the boys, I've even got all three of their albums! (Yeah, I know it's saddo, but still...!) and for many ppl A&D were SMtv - I think without them the show's gonna have to fight to prove itself... could this be the break Behr and Mace have been waiting for? SMtv as a show is class but it'll lose something without that A&D magic...
