Ooo, just found the titles here. I'd forgotten how amazing they were! The new ones just did not fit in. It's not surprising the old ones lasted 7 years!
They're available here too.

But there's a difference! See if you can spot it Smile (Hint: Look at the television centre!)

L&K has gone today, shall never be seen again.

In Homer Simpson style: Whoohoo!

FBi is the best Saturday morning show by far.

FBi was a summer replacement (well, sort of) for Live and Kicking 2000. It was awful. Bring back the original hotel version of Fully Booked!

Live and Kicking is a programme that will go down in history as the longest running Saturday Morning Show ever. I was really sad when the end titles came up and the presenters started crying. I think Shara Cawood was the best presenter.

Bring in The Saturady Show. So far It sounds really good and they have very interesting trailers running throughout the BBC. They must really be trying to capture viewers because I saw a trailer on BBC Knowledge the other day.

Live and Kicking was really good up and till zoe and jamie left about 2 years ago and itv brought smtv live with ant and dec.

I have heard that ant and dec are leaving smtv live and concentrating on prime time. Could this give the bbc the chance to have a come back with saturday morning tv.

Does anyone know the new presenters of the saturday show.

Right loads of points here so theres bound to be something that interests you! FBi was awful, pathetic and a disgrace to saturday mornings, bring back Fully Booked, the hotel was the best but the laster series' were alright. L&K was great to start with, remember that Emma was supposed to stay on when Andi left, but got pregnant and left, Zoe and Jamie were good aswell, I remember thinking that in their last series that the BBC would like to keep them, but with a new show, could I have been more wrong? Although they wanted to keep them they still wanted the show to stay aswell. Anyway Emma and Steve ruined it, they kept the show the same, without the good parts like Trev and Simon and the computer games - which I know had left earlier and them failed to innovate, and this last series has been painful. Does anyone remember the original ads, with Andi Peters advertising L&K like a washing up powder? For some reason that really sticks in my mind. The Saturday show will be hosted by Dani Behr and Joe Mace, but why are the ads voiced or sound like they are voiced by Trey?

SM:tv will no doubt make some changes next week, as they always do at this time of year. Next week sees the return of Challenge Ant and Chums (but hopefully SMTV 2099 will remain!) as we've had the trailers for them, exactly like last year.

Ant and Dec are leaving at the end of the year. Apparently Cat is staying and is reported to be joined by the bloke who plays Finn in Hollyoaks (James Redmond I think), but I have emailed SMTV in disgust at this and suggested that it be presented by Cat, Edith Bowman and Russell Brand, who would be great!

Live and Kicking has always been pants and I can't see The Saturday Show being any better. The BBC are trying to be hip and trendy but, like with the last series of L&K, it won't work. The SMTV-style sketches on L&K were painful and only laughed at by the crew. Fully Booked was good in the Chris Jarvis days.

When the Hollyoaks bloke was asked on Liquid News he wouldn't give a straight answer... although ITV publically denied the idea that Ant and Dec were supposed to be leaving......

SMTV Live has a simple format this is what makes it a great show. Live and kicking used to be simple with the usual competitions, games, music and cartoons. like what someone said eariler about the phone number jingle that was so catchy. 01818118181. i think going live had the same number (well before the area code changed 0818118181). I used to like mitch (did we ever get to see him). Does anyone remember those guys that replaced trever and simon, those crap guys who did MEN IN TROUSERS. How rubbish was that. Bring back trev and simon. I last saw those 2 presenting a program on channel 5 not long ago.

And before 1990 it was 01-811 8055! And yes I agree, let's see Trevor and Simon back on television!

In recent years the BBC have lost it when it comes to Saturday morning TV programmes.
Going Live and Live and Kicking weren't *that* bad, certainly better than ITV's offering at the time. However, as soon as they employed Theakston (as with every show he seems to work on) it went downhill.

I remember the phone number as 0818118181, but not the one after the area code change. I obviously stopped watching it.

SMTV has worked because it appeals to not only a youth audience but to adults as well. The competitions for the oldest viewer suggests that they're not trying to appeal to a 'yoof' audience.

I don't remember ever being a great fan of children's TV programmes. That's children's , not childrens as ITV used to call it. Saying that, children's programming has never been of any educational benefit to anyone.

Yep, let's give Trev and Simon their own show! They were a really good class act. I remember the Singing Corner with much fondness and swung my pants quite a lot when they were on. When for a year I think, they were replaced by some godawful duo called Supergirly, they were useless, unfunny and nauseating!

Anyone remember DJ Moon Monkey and Pot Fish?
