I loved the Andie and Emma days as much as I loved the Jamie and Zoe. Live and Kicking started to die when Steve and Emma joined it, and it was apparent that the hip new look wouldn't work. There was just no chemisty between the 4 presenters, but L & K twas 10 times better than the awful F.B.I

I don't think there was anything wrong with Steve and Emma; the series stuck with the formula that had worked for the past 25 years, and it still worked, it's just that Ant and Dec went and did the same thing on ITV and got more viewers. Steve and Emma were unfortunately made the scapegoats for losing viewers, and were dropped in favour of the dreadful line-up on terrible final series.
Well I'd heard of Andi Peters from the broom cupboard (This is when I was 4 or 5) and Emma Forbes from somewhere too (I remember Going Live too)So I could relate to them. In 1996 I still watched it,I knew Zoe Ball from Playdays, that I watched until the very end......But in 1998 I'd never heard of any of the presenters (Bit Strange,I should have remembered Steve from CBBC)So I stopped (But I never regulary watched SMTV either and Certainly not CD:UK!)
She has one of her homes in New York City, and I hope that she's not among the dead in that terrible terrorist atrocity. I e-mailed her publisher Scholastic, and I haven't heard any response from it, rather worrying.

Have you read anything of hers? I've read all of her books bar 2 and my favourites out of them were The Cat Ate My Gymsuit, This Place Has no Atmosphere and Thames Doesn't Rhyme With James. She's writing a series for younger readers called the Amber Brown series. I've read these too and they're brilliant. I'm glad I've found a fellow Danziger fan!

I actually didn't intend to watch the end, but I was flicking around and I came onto BBC 1. I quickly saw the leprecauns fussing about this cartoon style leaver showing OFF & ON. You know what happens next. They pressed the leaver and everything went dark. We see the presenters light a match and whisper the words. Missed it Missed out. I actually sat back and took note off this. I coul'nt believe that it had finnished. Oh well RIP Live & Kicking.
(Then a loud Saturday Show Trailer Came on and Spoiled the Whole Thing) Damn You BBC!!
I think that the L+K theme music that originally opened and closed the show was the best. I thought that with Zoe and Jamie's departure, the show should have been axed then, rather than trying to struggle onwards with Emma and Steve, and then with Katy, Trey, Sarah and Ortis. The hole was big enough, so why keep on digging?
