Im watching the last ever L&K and its a very sad day. Its a shame what was a good show is coming to an end, but lets face it- it has had better days. I taped an episode of L&K in 1998 and nott hat long ago I used to watch it to remind me of what L&K was like but I accidentally wiped it a few months ago and I doubt ill ever get another copy:(
Saturday morning telly on BBC1 was great right up until April 2000; but the last series of Live and Kicking was a travesty. The reappearance of Mitch and the Leprechauns on the last show seemed to improve it no end.
Pity none of the former presenters were live in the studio; several made appearances but they were obviously pre-recorded sequences. And no appearance by Trevor and Simon...
Live & Kicking was a great programme! The later runs of it weren't very good but the Andi Peters & Emme Forbes era was the best. It is sad that it has finished, although I never watched it in the end. I was still good show, but better in its earlier days.
Do you think the old episodes will ever be repeated (uncropped and shows exactally as they were broadast- incuding competition questions and the number to call)? Theres an old episode of L&K I had on video that i accidentally wiped a few months back and I want to see it again- but I doubt I will short of raiding the BBC Archives.
