So is it finished
It's not coming back. It's over. Gone. Cancelled. Axed. Kaput. Finished. No more.
So is it finished

Usual reliability concerns apply.
Whether it has anything to do with Ben Shephard having a packed schedule on the back of the new contract he joined Sky Sports on is debatable, but I mean there's no shortage of suitable presenters. Providing it isn't Vernon Kay or Ant & Dec.

I can confirm that ITV will be bringing it [Krypton] back, as soon as The Krypton Factor itself becomes compatible for High Definition Television, as well as Standard Definition Television, meaning that the show WILL come back, but they'll need to make it HD Compatible first

Oh right! Well, thanks for clearing that one up. Well, I look forward to it - tis a shame, it looked perfectly crystal clear on my Grundig 24" CRT TV so no real need for HD. Oh well...

In what way to do they need to change it to make it HD suitable? Isn't it just a case of use HD cameras in the studio and on the assault course?
Or just record the programme in SD, then transmit the SD programme on ITV1 and upscaled SD on ITV1 HD?

Total BS. Apart from anything else, the set was made up of black drapes and LED pixel strips.

But yeah, the HD thing does sound like BS.

Must be the assault course. The studio should already have HD cameras.

Really? On what grounds do you suggest this? It's far easier to change an outdoor pre-record to HD facilities than a studio set up, and despite common perception, there are a lot of SD only studios remaining. It's by no means unusual to run a studio through an OB truck to temporarily upgrade it to HD when no native HD studios are available.
