Nice to see an old Game Show coming back to ITV 1 - However any chance of The Crystal Maze coming back onto our TV Screens soon - New Series ?

Surely - with Russell Brand now out of a job, NOW is the right time to bring back The Crystal Maze with him as presenter?? With it already been discussed on his website forum earlier in the year and rumours abound, Russell MUST be the top choice now? He would be iconic to the show!!!! It would be wicked!! Think about it!!!! Very Happy

I have to agree. His personality really matches the show.

No doubt about it he's the best man for the job, but I think cost is the main thing preventing a comeback, so at the moment it's even more unlikely than ever. The only way I could see it happening is if they could secure international sales and then build one set to film all versions of the show.

Just because he's a bit zany doesn't mean he'll be any good. I can expect him putting the contestants down with sarcastic "witticisms" all the time, something that neither Richard or Ed did - let's face it, the contestants didn't really need put-downs!

Anyway back on topic, I'm going to see the Krypton Factor being taped next Tuesday afternoon (I know one of the contestants) so I'll let you know how Ben gets on!

He's already done the assault course - unfortunately they only run 2 contestants at a time, rather than all 4.

Hmm I don't know, I remember Richard being quite sarcastic to them when contestants couldn't hear what he was saying in the games. Plus the fact some contestants couldn't put 2 brain cells together and work out what they had to do, then he'd really rip into them when they didn't get a crystal. Laughing

Oh my lord at "The Kube".

No flight simulation though? Very disappointed. That was the best bit as Gordon Burns would voice over it in his acerbic style that made you want to hate these people for not knowing how to fly a plane. Plebs.

Looks like it could take the 7.30pm regional slot on Thursdays then - I just hope they don't end up dropping it every couple of weeks when the hour-long Emmerdale is move from Tuesdays.

ITV should just drop the hour long episode of Emmerdale when football is on a Tuesday rather than move it to Thursdays IMO. Or better still drop it alltogether - 5 half hour episodes are enough and they could always do the occasional 1 hour "special" for a big storyline like tonights was.

We all know they should, but I doubt they ever will. It should only be an issue though until the end of this season as from next season the games move to Wednesday nights.

Oh dear, more Corrie at 9.45pm then? At least we won't have to contend with a half hour of TV's Annoying Blunders 108.

The Krypton Factor Flight simulator round always amused me..
"And now...he's doing well...can he make the runway..well he's certainly trying and this is a tricky thing to do for any sort...OH DEAR! he's missed it by...hehehe what looks like a mile." Laughing

Although Corrie at 9.45pm...would only be on for 15mins because of News At Ten

(pillock!)

As you were..
