Certainly hope so, the assault course was miles better with the split times shown, clearly we weren't the only ones to be annoyed that we didn't have a clue who was winning until the end.
Saying that, it was down from 4.35m, 0.68m down from the previous week (around a 15% loss of audience), which when put up against Eastenders and excluding repeats is still admirable. I'll be happy as long as it is renewed for another series, it certainly deserves to be.

The Krypton Factor got 3.67m viewers in its 2nd week apparently - slightly down on last week
.
Hopefully, it will bound back next week! It should do!

Last weeks episode was during the holiday week and now people are back to work and back into their normal routines. Would be surprised if the numbers went back up.
Have to say that after watching the first two shows I'm not impressed. Fine if they want to have a quiz show have a quiz show but don't try and relate it to a classic show when (IMHO) it bares no resemblance to the original show.

Why do you say that? You can't say it bares NO resemblance to the original show
:-
1. It has a green K based logo.
2. It has the same name as the original show.
3. It has the same rounds as the original show (apart from Response).
4. The K changes into a small pictorial representation of each round.
5. There is an assault course - different to the old one, but there is one.
6. The show is just as tough as it was originally.
7. Contestants are awarded Krypton Factors of 10, 6, 4 and 2 as in the original.
8. Contestants are split into 4 identifying colours red green yellow and blue.
9. Contestants' occupations are credited during each show - the thief from London - Robin Banks.
The only differences really are:-
1. It has a different theme tune and titles.
2. It has a different host.
3. There is no response round as yet.
4. The assault course is different and filmed differently.
5. It has a much better up to date futuristic studio.
So yes - there are small differences but the show resembles the original very well overall I reckon!

OK, maybe I should have taken a far more detailed approach to a 30 minute TV show but to me it has lost the feel that the original show had. To me, it is very different.
grr... Every time I change a spelling error it comes back!

Was some beat-matching going on there, or was it a fluke that the effects in the titles almost without fail match the risers and accents of the old K theme tune?
The new titles work better than I thought with the old theme, BUT, it really would need to be remixed. You couldn't get away with using the old theme nowadays.
However, Mr Farrar has turned up with a new composition, so that is that.

I reckon this new version of The Krypton Factor is way more like the original, unlike the 1995 series which was appaling and completely off the mark!
