Just looked back at the recording I made last week - and was surprised by the anno made at the beginning: "Now, it's been fourteen years since it originally appeared on our screens, updated for 2009, with the help of Ben Shepherd, a new generation of contestants battle it out to see if they have The Krypton Factor"
Try 31 or 32 years!

Correct, but it started in 1977... 32 years ago, so Andrew technically is correct.
But it has been 14 years since it originally appeared on our screens?
I don't know, depends how grammatically correct people are.

Putting it like that, it's a fair point.
Semantics - I'm sure there's a word for it

"14 years since it
last
appeared", or "32 years since in
originally
appeared".
Any other way of putting it is at best confusing, at worst inaccurate.

I thought the Assault Course tonight was filmed better slightly. Also, they showed the clocks at several points through the course with a split second reading to show how the contestants were along the course against each other - which I don't think they did last week.
All in all, another fine programme tonight!
Hopefully, with even more viewing figures than last week as EE is so miserable at the moment!
