Just looked back at the recording I made last week - and was surprised by the anno made at the beginning: "Now, it's been fourteen years since it originally appeared on our screens, updated for 2009, with the help of Ben Shepherd, a new generation of contestants battle it out to see if they have The Krypton Factor"

Try 31 or 32 years!

It finished in 1995 with Penny Smith didn't it?

Yeah but the error would be saying it has been 14 years since it originally appeared. Personally I thought the announcement said 14 years since it disappeared but Andrew has a recording so I'll trust his judgement on that one.

Correct, but it started in 1977... 32 years ago, so Andrew technically is correct.

I don't know, depends how grammatically correct people are. Wink

Putting it like that, it's a fair point.

Semantics - I'm sure there's a word for it Wink

"14 years since it last appeared", or "32 years since in originally appeared".

Any other way of putting it is at best confusing, at worst inaccurate.

I thought the Assault Course tonight was filmed better slightly. Also, they showed the clocks at several points through the course with a split second reading to show how the contestants were along the course against each other - which I don't think they did last week.

All in all, another fine programme tonight! Very Happy Hopefully, with even more viewing figures than last week as EE is so miserable at the moment!

The Assault Course piece was put together much better this week, and it was a better show overall too.
