Well it looks like the BBC might bring it back to Saturday nights as long as Granada want to sell the format rights. The person interested was the producer of the 1995 series, though that wasn't the best, hopefully they might have learned from their mistake which cost the show.
But I think they should get Gordon Burns back for it, even if his voice is nearly croaked.
The Krypton Factor was one of my most favourite series when I was a kid, but if they bring it back they need to bring it back with Gordon Burns and keep faithful to the original format, and not the 1995 format.
It's a show I'd like to see return - but look who's trying to bring it back! He's the bloke who was in charge of the last series - you know, the one who ruined it!
The mere thought of relaunching The Krypton Factor as a Saturday evening BBC ONE gameshow, and giving the
presenter's job to someone like Eamonn Holmes, brings one potentially unworkable but not impossible scenario:
The National Lottery Krypton Factor
. . . they wouldn't do owt like that surely?
Well, come to think of it . . . yes, they probably would!

I was about to comment on that, but I realised, why do those gameshows have nothing to do with the lottery? (Apart from the second-to-end game on Jetset, and something on Winning Lines I recall)

I'm not sure Gordon would be up for doing it though, he has aged somewhat and even though he is a great journalist(he does some excellent interviews in NWT) he does seem to be losing enthusiasm.
He was excellent though on the programme .
Maybe the show could have 2 presenters mybe Gordon could present it occaasionally. He seems to also have taken more time off than usual on North West Tonight, (last week being an example of how he didn't present the lunchtime bulletin as he ALWAYS does)
I would say Gordon and maybe another news reader from the regions, who have strong authoratative approach, but maintains that friendly manner as Gordon does!
