The Dando location graphic was animated, I hope when they move into the new studios etc and everything is finally finished there will be some animated ones.

Don't remember seeing the BBC reporter before? Do you think they were sent over from Britain, on holiday there, a reporter on Majorca or sent over from Madrid?!

No, thinking about it I do vaguely remember Janet Barrie (sp?) from somewhere - can't think where though! Someone must know where she's from - and also, who have ITN got there?

Yes it is Janet Barrie, she used to anchor overnight News 24 and BBC World bulletins.
I do'nt think Sky will have one there simply because of the fact that they haven't really got time to send people to the Balearic Islands whilst they are spending a few million on new studios etc!
Had it been under normal circumstances they would have sent someone by now but certainly not at the moment.

I doubt Sky would have sent someone there. Though, it could fill in loads of live broadcasting time hearing the 'horror' stories.

The NotW used the head on page 2 yesterday morning: 'Germans steal all the taxis'. Interesting to see their southern Spain edition lead on it with most of the front being taken up by a WOB with the head. Typical NotW stirring up the Anglo-German rivalry over a Spanish strike!

Isn't Janet Barrie now the beeb's (or one of) correspondent in Brussels. She does a lot of EU stories and I remember she was in Denmark during their Euro referendum.
