Wow, how on earth did you find that out?
I've registered, and played the samples, sadly they are only 20 seconds long. How do you go about buying these for personal use? If it is indeed possible

Nothing wrong with branding. After all when the new series of Catchphrase was on a while back. The programme is made by Action Time for Carlton but Action Time was bought by Carlton so it was programme made by Carlton for Carlton!

I know, it looks like somebody has knocked that up with Word Art.
Also, what a pointless caption. Its like saying an ITV production for ITV

I always remember that Granada only ever had two proper night time services, the first one being NIGHT TIME, which lasted until 1994, which only seemed to have consisted of Wrestling, I did have some from this era on tape, but I taped it over some time ago!
The second one being the neon people, I took russnet's advice and looked on PP at the NT clips and they seem to be different than what I remember. The idents are exactly what I remember but the font they use are different, as it looks like it was controlled from Carlton or something, but the neon people were the best. As the thing was that I never knew the proper name of the segment, I assumed it was called Late Night. But it seemed like a totally different channel compared to Granada. I have a promo on tape, which explodes the words MMMMMMore, with the Mbop (sp?), by Hansen playing and another promo which has It's like no other Television. These were very good, the music they used on the idents was very Night time too. I also have on tape a bit of continuity which has the end of an ITN News bulletin, with the creepy music at the end, to an neon people ident then into the Teletext era of ITV Nightscreen. I actually taped more than I think, I taped a GMTV link, but I think the tape I used is a bit knackered. (I knew I should have made a copy!) But the peak status of ITV Night Time is well and truly over.

I remember that, the music went: 'Niiiiiigggggghhhhhhhttttttt Ttttttiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmmeeeee' and the graphics had little sound meters in time to the music.
Awful!

You can find clips by searching for the song titles in BMG Music Search
You have to register to search for some stupid reason, but here is my favourite track. Does anybody know if it is possible to obtain these for personal use? The whole BMG group of sites seem to deal with commerical uses.

Oh, I loved it as a 15 year old growing up with night time telly in 1991/2! I think the continuity came from Thames and at the weekend, they used the same idents/trailers etc but being LWT at the weekend, they didn't use a continuity announcer at all so it was all clean.
There was a great continuity announcement at 5:59am on 31/12/92 linking into the last ever TVam, the announcer says "That's it - The last ever ITV Night-time and now for the very last time, good morning and goodbye"
With that sort of link, you would think Night time was coming to an end on ITV! I never liked the service that took over, I think it was sourced from Granada and mainly featured a black pussy cat hovering over the Night Time logo, now that was nasty!
