Its been replaced with a Midsommer Murders repeat. I read the synopsis and it doesn't really have anything in it relating to the bombings or anything. It was pulling in decent enough ratings. Did ITV give any reason why they pulled the last episode?

There's two reasons, either the storyline will be very similar to some recent news events or that the ratings were awful. I think it's more the second than the first.

I was going to ask this question. There must be a very good reason though. I quite like Donovan.

I don't think so, it was getting over 6 million. It is likely to have some link to recent events.

They've replaced it with a new episode of Midsomer Murders which was scheduled for another day?

Looking at tonight's synopsis in the Radio Times I can't think what news event it could be similar to.

A member of the cast was involved in 7/7 bombings in London and is still receiving hospital treatment. Apparently it will be shown at a later date.

It definally isn't the ratings. Notice how the announcer is actually refering to Donovan being replaced. Normally they'd just say there was a change to the schedule and not refer to the programme that had been replaced

Blimey! That is so sad. Hope they get well soon.

So, sorry but one is forced to enquire, why did they not also pull the 10th July and 17th July episodes?

Can't see the logic here, I'm afraid.
