I've been posting here since I was 12. I'm now 17.

Get away! I thought you were in your 20s ! This is the same Billy who sent me a fantasy tv schedule for my ye olde russnet tv site by chance?

Yes it was, back in 2000. Was 11 then (or might have just gone 12, I forget).

If you think that's scary, I'm 18 in three months!

So that's why you were so enthuastic. It was your age! Smile If you think that's scary, I'm 30 next year!

But I really am 12, and will stop making mocks.

Don't stop doing something creative which you like; any enthusiasm is a good thing.
But if you want to get into media, posting them here won't get you anywhere.

Well the thing is, I'll stop until I try practicing. I'm still getting the hang of the Gimp, its a bit complicated.

The Gimp isn't too bad; just make sure the face mask still lets you breathe.

Well I'm 18 and, although I'm a relative newcomer, I do try and put forward sensible points. I think the trick was not introducing myself as a new person, but then again I wouldn't recommend that at all!

And I'm afraid, and I fear a lot of you will instantly pounce on this, I do not understand why people post random pictures of trains. I don't object to it, I just fear that I'm missing out!

It's a concept developed, for a pointless or trollish thread, put a train pic up, rather then wasting time typing.

TBH, I don't care what the average age of the poster is, all I care about is if they can spell correctly, use the correct grammar, and make posts that are relevant to Television in the correct Threads or Forums, and not ask the same old silly questions, such as 'Is BBC World Available in the UK?'....What do you think....? I've been posting on this Forum since I was 14 (Joined November 2001) and I have always tried my best to live up to what I've just said in terms of spelling, grammar and relevance.

Though this bombardment of ******* (sorry if it isn't PC, but most of them don't seem to be fully there with the concept of the Forum) happens every Summer, such as Paul Akinbola (or whoever he is), though my absoloute favourite was www_tomd, he was just wrong, with his CBoobies Mocks.... Ah I see, makes a whole lot more sense now! Thanks, and my apologies for not grasping the concept sooner.

While we are on the subject of TV Forum irritations: Why do people insist on talking about local BBC radio on a TV forum? The BBC Midlands thread is particularly bad for this at the moment!! Rolling Eyes

Sorry to whinge-- but the clue is in the title Confused

I disagree. BBC local radio has always been part of the regional threads being as they are, run by the same teams more often than not.

Notice the lack of threads on commercial radio. There is overlap between the BBC networks. Oh and there's loads of stuff about bbc.co.uk. That's not telly either

I think we need a questionnaire to set to future members just so we know they have a level of understanding.

Moira Stewart first appeared in which gameshow?

Bob Warman presented what gameshow?

Fred Dineage presented what gameshow?

BBC Television Centre has how many studios?

Who are TWW?

What is the BBC COW?

Who is Lew Grade?

Why is TV pres from the last 15 years so dull?

What did Thatcher do?

You get the idea.
