I've been posting here since I was 12. I'm now 17.
Looking back at some of my earliest posts via Web Archive, they embarass the hell out of me. Luckily no one really seemed to notice me, even after I posted in every single thread in the Media Websites forum to 'celebrate' its opening.
I think the 12 year olds who post moronically now will learn in one or two years, and post intelligently like the rest of us. Of course, if you're a pointless poster in your 20s, then you're beyond hope.

I hadn't even heard of this forum in 2001. I must have browsed the TV Home site back then but I wasn't in the forum era...more Lycos Chat.

- a good example of the very sort of person who shouldn't be here.
Dug up an old topic (a bad one at that), but more importantly, spoke partly in text speak. So, just came in here without checking for any guidelines? Tut tut. Text speak is not tolerated, therefore, shouldn't he go?

Erm, and how do you suggest they get those magical 150 posts?
I think Bail is using something called humour. Unfortunately, it seems completely lost on you...
He may be on to something though - restricting starting new threads to those with more than 10 posts might be feasible

I think this could give a problem. They would have to post two "I'm Leaving" threads BEFORE they are allowed to post!

I don't think anyone should be allowed to post unless they've been here for 5 years and have already posted two highly overdramatic *I'M LEAVING* threads.

I completely agree. A lot of teenagers can put forward coherent arguments and fit in just fine in discussion. We're talking petulant babies here.
Though I'd hasten to guess that many of these said "kids" are actually fully grown adults, trolling around. Now that is sad.
