I think members should have a post count of at least 150 before they are allowed to post.
I think members should be forced to pee in a bucket and be subjected to an assessment test where they must listen to and correctly identify various jingles, ident themes and every BBC World bed from 1999 to present.
as much as I get annoyed at some people on here... you can't stereotype that
all
teenagers are like that. I'm 15 but I understand that it doesn't give me a right to be given anything extra on here.
so please don't include me in the 'annoying teenager' section.
And besides, it only seems to happen during the school holidays. We've only got 5 weeks now before the 6-week Annual Summer Holiday Child-Troll Festival. Get yourself ready...
I partially agree, as while it is more likely younger members will make sub-standard posts, or ask pointless questions where an answer is easily available elsewhere anyway, you have to understand that not every single one of them will act this way -- some may contribute perfectly reasonable and clear comments, or ask sensible questions.
It does get annoying though, when you have kids on here who really don't care about or understand the general etiquette needed here, and that includes the Mocks Forum, where you can tell if at least
some
care and consideration has gone into a design, but when it's some crude Paint monstrosity that looks like nothing more than a doodle and even the mocker knows it's poor, that's out of line -- they ignore their own better judgment (and Stickies) at their peril and should be gotten rid of.
As for use of bans, they should certainly be commonplace for any new members who make a notably unsatisfactory post, that shows clear ignorance of the rules, or falls below the standards of mocks and/or English language expected here.
This forum should be for serious enthusiasts of TV Pres/broadcasting, preferably who are literate; and if you aren't literate, you can always use a spellchecker!
I feel that people at TVF who are not do not know the ins and outs of TV Language are often looked at as dumb ect,
I watch a lot of tv - but havent the faintest on whats the proffesional way of saying things, you know like astons ect
I know the basics, i get the feeling sometimes im looked down upon, although generally i find TVF members to be ok, one thing i have learnt - if you make errors and pee people of when you first join, its VERY difficult in the future to gain 'respect'
The best thing to do is to just ignore the people who post stupid comments, mocks and questions. They'll soon get bored and they'll go find some other forum where they might get a bit of attention.

I don't think anyone should be allowed to post unless they've been here for 5 years and have already posted two highly overdramatic *I'M LEAVING* threads.
