I've thought for a long time that a version of Jenni Barnett's Good Food Live on UKTV Food would do well on BBC ONE 1200-1300.
Psst.. I think you mean Great Food Live.
(I'm not sure of the details, but I think I heard that the name had to be changed for legal reasons)

Good Food used to be on Carlton Food Network and the rights are still owned by Granada/ITV plc

The preview button is provided for a reason, if you are unable to string a sentence together in a coherent manner, I would suggest that you use a spell checker.

Failing that, just do not post the inane crap you are at the moment.

So if there have to show 8 hours of kids TV a week, when are there going to show the extra 30mins of kids telly to make there quote, ( as 7 hours 30mins is done weekdays)
with the 40mins on a Sunday right now is ok, but when World cup comes along... or F1.. Then what? Will there have to find a slot for 30 mins worth of kids show some where or will there get off with it cos it a major sporting events?

Sorry for this, but some people are very pedantic on here. Do you mean...

So If they have to show 8 hours of children's programming in a week, when are they going to show the necessary 30 minutes to make their quota, as 7 hours 30 minutes are currently shown during the weekday afternoon bloc?

With 40 minutes on a Sunday morning, currently,is okay, but when the World Cup comes along, or the F1, then what? Will ITV have to find the 30 minute bloc elsewhere, such as a 530pm on a Sunday evening or will OFCOM let ITV off due to the major sporting event?

But.

You could just watch the cookery programmes.

You never know, they might just be useful in later life, after Mummy stops making your porridge every morning.

I have you know I've been cooking my own food since I was 10...

If RTL/Bertlesmann (five) really want to start gaining viewers from the more traditional ITV/BBC market then there is now no better opportunity than on Saturday mornings. they could start off with a 60 minute news programme, followed by Pre-school series, flb Magazine show f/b CD:UK f/b some sort of sport shows.

i.e. (now I know some of you don't like this but I am trying to show a point here so please bear with me....)

0600 News; weather
0700 Pre-school series (Milkshake)
0900 Bedrock
1100 CD:UK
1200 News; weather
1215 Kick-Off (a bit like ITV's old On The Ball and BBC'sFootball Focus
1315 .....

Hmm, original look to that schedule

If that was directed at me, then no I do not consider myself pedantic in the circumstances.

65325842 or whatever he/she is called constantly posts unreadable rubbish, its not just one or two words misspelled, but posts that are totally incomprehensible. It makes it harder for other users on the forums here to join in with the discussions.

I also believe that it is courteous to make sure what you type is spelt correctly and also makes sense.

Was not aimed specifically at you, it was in general.

There do seem to be many younger people who log onto this site and ask questions. Their grammar, in general, can be poor - this is not really their fault but the fault of the education system in today's world and the fault of texts/sms on mobile phones which is actually changing our language at an alarming rate.

If I can help these people out by trying to clarify what they mean, then I will do that

I apologise if I have offended Embarassed

To be fair to 623058, they have been pulled up on this one before and have said they have dyslexia. 623058's signature until recently pretty much carried a disclaimer saying most things were put through a spell checker but some things slip through.

I guess it's a difficult one to call though...

Sorry for this, but you have mis-quoted me on this. I did not say that piece at all - that was a response which someone else wrote to an earlier post of mine. It's just that I don't want to be labelled as having a go at anyone - which I try not to.
