Graham Norton, it's the law that he must present Saturday night light entertainment on BBC One.

Seriously though, it's a novelty for about a minute. More suited to a one-off game in Takeshi's Castle, not to build a series around. It makes Celebrity Wrestling look good.

Certainly more a feature for a show, than a show itself.

As for Graham Norton - could be worse, a few years ago it would have been Dale Winton - or Ian Wright Wright Wrong.

The programme was a great disappointment, not least because it's been in development for absolutely ages. The first contestant call was published back in January 2006, when the format was still called "The Swot Team", and the commission was announced some time before that, late 2005. So what of they been doing all this time? Not getting the format right, anyway.

I suspect would be more like a jazzed up Eggheads if Eggheads hadn't already existed

I still haven't managed to work the format out completely, around three weeks into the series.

I've worked out there's a one on one round at the beginning, that's it. As I understand it, £5,000 goes into the bank and for every round versus the Eggheads (sorry, the children) the challengers lose, they lose £1,000.

The questions are all so simple though. I haven't got a single question incorrect so far. I would argue that a seven-year-old could do it, but in this context it seems somewhat irrelevant.

It's not as good as Noel's show on Sky.
