Many have voted for CBBC there. I wouldnt mind a CiTV channel. Though its a long way for CiTV. They are now getting back onto their feet, and need to develop long running programmes that can be made for a channel. Its alright having a series once a week for 15 weeks a year. Its another to develop series that can run everyday for around 4 weeks.
A shake channel as GMTV2 would simply be a channel of other peoples programmes, mainly fox kids/skyones shows.
Disney are my favourite channel for children at the moment, as its a very family orientated channel rather than straight forward childrens shows. The ideas to many of the shows are aiming at children, though the humour and quality of the shows, films and presentation of the channel can be enjoyed by the family.
Nickelodeon has always been, and most probably will be known as the cool kids channel, the channel that wasnt affraid to break boundaries. Its seemed to have slipt a bit of late with a lot of the new shows not being as high a quality of the old shows, along with the presenters, and presentation too. It is a very big platform for new talent though, thoses that appear usually go onto better things.
Fox Kids is a great channel for fans of action cartoons and programmes. They are good for what they do, and get the viewers that it aims at.
Cartoon Network. I probably watch this least, some shows like cow & chicken used to appeal to me, yet many of the shows must be successful to get the audience.
What do you think of channels that show amarican stuff eg Nick or Troble?>
Nick's American output isn't too bad and is of some quality, but the majority of it is Sabrina The Teenage Witch, but then it is their highest rated programme, so business wise it is a good idea, but they have shown new programmes, they also seem to have shown every episode and every TVM of Saved By The Bell about 20 times over at least.
Trouble is something I never watch, though in their case they aim at teenagers and if they have any imports it's usually sitcoms, like Fresh Prince of Bel Air, 2 Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place, but I guess their American output is stuff which Paramount Comedy don't want.
I am aware there are some very young forum members here, but why not try look for a forum with an appropriate audience. Unless you are asking us to vote on the presentation of the childrens channels, if so, perhaps you should rename the thread!
yes sorry mate. I will change it. Im actuly not a child ither! My book is looking at different aspects of channels and looking at the public views. The book is not just on kids.
