Of The Kenny Everett Video Show and The Kenny Everett Video Cassette being put on DVD? Thames Television

All I know of is The Complete Naughty Bits which has been around for a while now. Nevertheless, I would like to see box sets released.

Just a warning about The Complete Naughty Bits - it does NOT feature the famous Thames reverse rip that closed each episode of Kenny's Thames shows. Not very pleased spending £15 to find that out.

I suppose you won't be surprised to hear that when Kenny moved to the BBC I lost interest as there were no longer any similar pres in-jokes.

I think that Everett must be the only person where his ITV shows were better than his BBC shows.

I took advantage of the Granada Plus repeats about five years ago and it shows how brilliant they were, they kept some of the Thames jokes in. I've got the Complete Naughty Bits DVD and it is brilliant, it has probably the best bits of the ITV shows, and a couple of trailers for the Original VHS release too.

Although a full release would be nice, I doubt it would happen as Thames haven't got the full collection in the archive and apparently there are issues with the music rights.

There were no such issues on The Two Ronnies Christmas DVD collection; the specials are all as broadcast including David Essex performing A Winter's Tale.

Which makes me all the more unhappy another BBC series, released on DVD for the first time last week, DID have to have edits to remove certain tracks playing in the school disco...
