Celebrity Chef Keith Floyd has died at the age of 65...

Very sad news.

Erm... we have a bug here.

He died on the same day that Channel 4 showed a Keith Allen documentary on him and The Mail started serialising his autobiography.

I'm surprised that word didn't get through to C4 programme and it didn't get pulled at the last minute

Well his death was not announced until this morning.

It was not publicly announced until this morning, no (it's quite common for deaths of famous people to be announced in the morning no matter when they die the day before)... however I'm surprised that word didn't get to the production company or C4 last night.

"South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that medics were called to an address in Bridport at 8.43pm yesterday to a report of a man in a life-threatening condition."

Not sure on the precise time of death, but I somehow doubt priority is to inform Channel 4 just moments after he has died.

The priority wouldn't have been to contact Channel 4 of course, but his agent would be among the first to know

I see what you mean, although with such a short time scale if they did pull it the buzz would have started, and possilble that not all of his family and close friends had been informed.

Personally I thought the documentary last night was a fitting tribute to the man. Just a shame he passed away soon after.
