One of those things that grows on you as you get older, cos you notice yourself doing the same things!

OK I've never commandeered a curate's car to collect a Commodore, but still, a very knowing and clever comedy that's perfect for Sunday afternoons.

a lot of the town shots and the church were filmed in Northampton when I lived there so watching the repeats is extra fun with spotting the locations. The church hall is near my friends, I'll post a photo one day when i fathom out how the hell to do so.

That's right, they were - actually, also many of the locations were in Royal Leamington Spa, the Bucket residence was in Binley Woods, Coventry, and Onslow and Daisy's place was in Willenhall, a district of Coventry.

Certainly a few scenes were shot within West Midlands County.

Spot the CENTRO green & yellow bus shelters in the odd episode!

I was in Norway and they showed a promo for it, I think this is a big hit over there. Good stuff though, I particularly enjoyed the episode where they went to the cottage and Richard fell through the ceiling.

I used to love this comedy, and still occasionally see the repeats on Sundays. It must be popular still as BBC1 and UKGold seem to show it often (at least UK Gold used to, I dont know if they do now?

It's disappeared from UKTV Gold, but I've seen it a few times on UKTV Drama, which also seems to be home of Last Of The Summer Wine aswell.
