such a shame they're axing it. Channel 4 really only care about ratings dont they? they dont wait to see if something works, the old (and great) RI:SE was on for about 8 months then they changed it all and it got less viewers. They didnt realise that RI:SE Mk1 was growing and gettin better and more people were tuning in to see it...the memories.......

Er, where's your evidence for that? Even though I preferred Mk 1, it wasn't getting any more viewers and I could see it getting stale eventually.

Dougie - best presenter on RI:SE
Iain - A bigger tit than Zora!
Kate - nice but dim.
Zora - Intellegent and sassy, it's a shame that she'll be remembered for her tits instead of her presentational skills.

RI:SE was pretty much still-born. At the time of its launch there were big changes behind the scenes at Channel 4, and the channel pretty much disowned it.

It's disgusting the way in which Channel 4 has treated some of its programmes over the last few years. Look at Brookside, The Big Breakfast and RI:SE to name a few. Each of these programmes had quite different problems, and yet their broadcaster did bugger all to help.

And now we're left with a channel of popular crap like Graham Norton, How Clean Is Your House, Location Location Location... I could go on. Channel 4 has well and truely lost its edge.

It comes to something when their most cutting edge programme is Richard & Judy!

I have to say that I preferred RI:SE MK1 as it was different to what had been on offer before and it was decent when it was started, but I would have to say it was treated rather badly by Channel 4 for not promoting it enough and to Sky and Princess Productions as they had alot of producers who took over as it was a disaster and then changed the whole format of the show. As I seem to remember it's saying for the launch was to provide information on Bin Laden, Britney and Beckham, ie News, Entertainment and Sport, and now all we have ended up with is a crappy 2 hour talk show and which isn't even worth watching and frankly it deserves the axe IMO.

But you could say fair enough to Channel 4 for Brookside, as the channel is becoming rather different, thats fine as Brookie did go crap for a couple of years and many people would agree, but the problem was the way it was treated by the channel in the terms of scheduling, as it was all over the place and no fixed time was set, which seems very low from Channel 4. No one was probably arsed if they were told that it would be going out at 10.40pm EVERY Tuesday, but it was moved all over the place, even as late as 12.05am, but luckily that was a crap episode. But Jimmy's little speech was very right, about how TV as ended up nowadays. Frankly no-one minds a bit of LLL or a bit of Graham, but Channel 4 is just showing this far too often now and frankly it is starting to p*ss people off, they might as well just rename the channel UK Style between 8pm and 9pm as that what it is most nights. The treatment of Countdown too is rather awful, being moved to 3.15, just because they want ANOTHER EFFING show about HOUSES at 4pm, do we need anymore, fair enough they're up against BBC Two for ratings but this does take the p*ss, maybe they should revert back to the old system of having Countdown on for only half of the year and then when Countdown is on hiaitus they should show one of these home programmes. But how many people have welcomed the move of Countdown? AFAIK None.

I watch RI:SE in the mornings and I like it. However I do think that if they got rid of Kate they might have a chance of survival.

Ian, makes me laugh every morning. Just some of the things that he comes out with are so mental that you have to laugh. And Dougie, fab fellow ScotsPerson! He's also a good presenter. lol.

As much as I enjoyed watching Kate in BB, she's no presenter. I think that Ian should present with someone that can give as good as they get. Of course Denise Van Outen would be perfect, however she's not exactly going to go backwards in her career...so she's out of the question.

But do you know what I mean? If Kate was to be replaced with a very well known female presenter, the show given another chance....I think that it could do well.

Channel 4 gives up too easy!
