Kate to host This Morning

Not sure if this has been metioned yet, but Kate Garraway is set to present 'This Morning' over the half term week with Tim Vincent. This is from Digital Spy.

The presenter, who announced that she is pregnant last month, will take over the show alongside former Blue Peter presenter Tim Vincent for a week from October 24.

"This Morning specialises in magical TV doubles. We made Richard and Judy, Fern and Phillip and now it's Kate and Tim," executive producer Gareth Williams told The Mirror.

If Kate's appearance proves successful, show insiders claim that it could lead to a regular spot.

"I'm so thrilled," Garraway revealed. "I'm a big fan."

They seem to be forgetting the unforgetable double act of Twiggy and Coleen! Laughing

And how can they call Kate and Tim a magical TV double act when they haven't even worked together!

Many people criticised Denise and Richard over the summer, I thought they were actually quite good!

Oh weren't they just terrible! They were incredibly nervous (Coleen especially) and This Morning would have been This Evening the time they took with everything! Laughing

Absolutely agree with that, I thought that they worked really well as a pairing and when they eventually took the show back to being this morning, worked it really well. Of course they will never be Phil and Fern, as I doubt Kate and Tim will be either.

I wonder whether they're trying to find a partnership for Friday, especially now that Fern's been creeping onto Monday's (though this is because she will be off for a while whilst she's doing this charity bike ride along the Nile).

Though what will it mean for Lorraine?
