I haven't heard anything about the ident changing, and to be honest I think it's bogus, Granada I think are waiting for the next multi-million revamp before doing anything. It's not as if the stupid morons in the North East will notice anyway, is it?

Tell me about it. As Andrew Bowden says in his TT Logo Page it's like BBC1 having the balloons one minute then using the 1985 mechanical globe the next. Does Granada have no pride?

The 1985 BBC One globe was the COW, wasn't it?

Don't get me wrong here Tony. I'm from the North East myself. I'm just mimicking what might be going through the minds of Granada executives!! :
Oh, and I was talking about the *pre*-1985 mechanical globe. Sorry.
I probably can't comment, on the hearts, living in central-land, I only see whats on the net, but why do people want an updated hearts, I much prefer the new tyne tees ident, wouldn't it be better if that was just used throughout, with maybe a few more variations on that theme because it is very nice.

I would prefer the proper TT ident to be used all the time, but since that isn't going to happen I'd like some effort to be expended on the dreaded hearts to at least make them consistent with all other branding on Tyne Tees

Do TTTV regional trailers have the regional branding or just no proper end board like Granada?

Most of them have a TTTV regional branding, which is very nice. I'll capture it sometime in the next couple of days, when I get round to connecting my spare VCR to the PC
I am sure all TTTV idents are produced in Leeds, and that's where the new Tyne Tees one probably came from, as it has the same layout as Yorkshire, eg logo on the left etc etc

YTV has an endboard for it's ads, used on a couple of local ads lately, can't remember which progs were advertised, but if YTV have an endboard, (basically the local ident with no chevron - there's a DOG instead - and programme images instead of ident ones!), why don't Tyne Tees and Granada?
