Just a minor point - but it had me tutting loudly at the tv last night after the Terry and June 'tribute' episode.
Where does the 'picture > name >year of birth - 2018' caption come from? And how many chains of management does it go through, before it hits the air?
Because her name was incorrectly captioned as plain old June Whitfield. This is wrong.
It should have been 'Dame June Whitfield'.

Such titles no longer apply upon death, so it is entirely correct to just say June Whitfield.
Is this due to 'him'?
No. It has always been the case that titles/honours cease upon death. You're thinking of the clamour to have Jimmy Savile stripped of his knighthood following the posthumous allegations made against him. However, since he was, and remains, dead, there is no knighthood to strip.

No - it was mentioned at the time that the honour couldn't be rescinded because it didn't apply, as he was dead.

Case in point: Rolf Harris was stripped of his CBE in 2015 (and, come to that, his equivalent Australian orders as well) for documented reasons.

Previously an MBE and OBE, I believe when one earns the next one 'up' (an MBE from an OBE and a CBE from an MBE) it replaces the previous one, as I'm pretty sure you can't have an OBE, an MBE and a CBE all at the same time!

Savile was ceremoniously stripped of his papal knighthood through for some reason.
Have tribute slides for late Sir and Dame's featured their title?

Initially it couldn't be decided whether those could be rescinded after death and the final decision on the matter appears to have been:

As there does not exist any permanent official list of persons who have received papal honours in the past, it is not possible to strike anyone off a list that does not exist. The names of recipients of papal honours do not appear in the Pontifical Year Book and the honour expires with the death of the individual.

Also, you cannot defame the dead. This is why newspapers etc. are allowed to describe Jimmy Savile as a "paedophile" despite the fact he was never charged, tried or convicted of being such a person in life.

And you can't be and Earl and get an OBE otherwise you'd be an Earlobe

That's a line worthy of Terry and June.
