And which one do you think is more well known in the UK, considering on first reading most people thought it was another Penny Marshall?

I think you missed my point. My argument was that you don't have to know a media personality in order to appreciate a thread about their life. (And besides, we live in an increasingly global media environment.)

They've cut the news by 5 minutes to fit this into the schedule (in a 35 minute slot).
Seems a slightly odd scheduling decision, as it's replacing Celebrity Mastermind, which isn't a repeat.
I think that 8:30pm would have been a better slot for, replacing a repeat of Would I Lie To You, immediately before Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.
Sky+ app is confused.
Can't see a mention of it in this thread but it looks like an episode of Terry and June has been scheduled for 19:25 on BBC One today (20:30 in Scotland) as a tribute. Originally aired on 18th Dec 1981.

That's the three variants. I've got all of them on DVD and that's the only ones I've seen! The parasol falling on them was my favourite.

Just a minor point - but it had me tutting loudly at the tv last night after the Terry and June 'tribute' episode.
Where does the 'picture > name >year of birth - 2018' caption come from? And how many chains of management does it go through, before it hits the air?
Because her name was incorrectly captioned as plain old June Whitfield. This is wrong.
It should have been 'Dame June Whitfield'.

She was only made a Dame in 2017, and probably BBC continuity had this photo on their system for many years and just didn't bother to add "Dame" to the title.

Such titles no longer apply upon death, so it is entirely correct to just say June Whitfield.

Is this due to 'him'?
