Had an argument in ther pub last night - I swear blind that there was a programme on tv years ago, entitled Julian Clary's Sticky Moments. My mates thought I was dreaming it. I couldn't back up my argument by actually telling them what the show was all about, because I forget!

Anyone able to shed any light? Also, what was the name of the programme in which Clary was team captain in a quiz, hosted possibly by Nick Hancock (???), and which was based on knowledge of Television? (It wasn't Telly Addicts....)

OMG.....sticky moments....I sware thats the program which gave me the "gay". Very Happy Anyhow yes, it was on channel 4. Remember fanny the wonderdog and the Joan collins Fan Club? At the end of each show, Julian would sing a song, I always remember him singing the theme tune, "sticky moments....I've had a few....." amazing stuff....would love to see it re-run.

Yes, Sticky Moments was a fairly amusing late night gameshow for Channel 4, actually intended as a satire of gameshows.

Basically an excuse for an hour of Julian Clary to spout innuendo for an hour, but usually actually funnier than that sounds.

The end game had people answering questions and eating sticky food - not unlike the end game from Dick and Dom's Ask the Family. Exactly the same as, in fact.

The program with Clairy as a captain of a team was called "It's only TV but I like it". A pretty class little show. Hosted by Jonathan Ross with Phil Jupitus as the other team captain. They still play it on UKTVG2 i think.

As for the other show, sounds like the kind of thing he would do, he's a prat! In my opinion of course Razz

It was, as has already been said by those who watched it, very funny indeed.

I never watched it. But everything else i've seen him in, he just tells "Carry on" style knob gags which aren't funny in the slightest. He even does it on the National Lottery.

Well as you say, you didn't watch it.

Does anyone remember Prickly Heat which used to air on Sky One, or is it just a figment of my imagination?

If I remember correctly, it was presented by Julian and Denise Van Outen.

It was a great show.

Yeh, "All Rise for Julian Clary" that was I believe, about 1996.
