Judge Judy on ITV2

Hi, I was wondering if Judge Judy is still being made, and when will it be likely, that "todays" shows will be shown on ITV2. And are new shows still coming through on 2?

Yes judge judy is still in production, but i haven't seen a new Judge Judy episode in ages on itv2.

Thanks for that, as the current ones on ITV2 date back to about 1998 or something like that.

Rather oldly, ITV seem to keep falling behind with Judge Judy.

They first showed the 1996 series (with the cool pianoey theme music - why on earth they ditched that after only 1 season for that crap that they still have today I shall never know) on ITV in 1997. They then showed the 1997 series on ITV in 1998. It then got moved to nightime on ITV, where it remain as a semi-regular series until 1999, showing the 1996 and 97 series repeatedly.

Meanwhile on ITV2 they showed the 1996/7/8 series repeatedly from 1999-2002, and latterly have concentrated on the 1998 series, with very occasional bits of 1999.

Considering that when ITV first picked the show up they were only a year behind, and their continued running of it on ITV2 demonstrates that there is cause enough to keep it there, it's bizarre that the newest episodes they have today are 5 years out of date.

It's worse with Jerry Springer. Whilst waiting for The Late Show the other night, I caught the last few minutes of an
edition of Jerry Springer (complete with the sycophantic morons that appear during the closing credits) from 1994!

I can tell you the new series of Jerry Springer is absolute s*** seriouly, The guest rip off their clothes on purpose, there is a new pole dancer every day,and "springer beads" is when a female member if the audience shows their boobs at the camera to get a bead with the jerry springer sign on. oh and they have a bell for when they fight!

I emailed ITV to see if any new episodes are to be shown. The reply was this:

"Thank you for your email. I believe that there are no new episodes of Judge Judy to be shown."

So they dont know that they are still being made?! - 6 years later!

What makes me laugh is that we're talking about it like it's a serious TV programme! Worrying about if ITV are spending money on bringing more American rubbish to our TV screens.

Trouble with American TV is there's good and bad - great and rubbish. There's no inbetween. Buffy, CSI and Sex & The City - spantasteg. Sunset Beach, Judge Judy and - ye gods - Sally Jessy Raphael - vomitville.
