Katie Price and Peter Andre have been offered a £2 million chat show deal with ITV, according to a report.

The celebrity couple will host Jordan and Peter Meet in the new year, with executives hoping that the show will finally boost ITV1's teatime slot and challenge Paul O'Grady's crown.

A source told The People: "They are perfect for telly because the chemistry between them makes for fantastic viewing.

"The couple really bounce off each other and bosses are confident they will be a huge hit."

At least the men will watch ...

I heard about this months ago, but I this was due to be aired on ITV2...

Why ITV cant just hand this slot over to the regions i dont know, i know it would never hapen but i for one would find a regional magazine style live show much more entertaining than a pair of boobs and a has been singer! it would also tie in great with the regional news.

To quote Simon Amstell earlier this week: "It's Jordan's third favourite tit and second favourite ****, Peter Andre!"

They did try it in some areas, they aired North East Tonight Primetime in the slot which bombed. I think Yorkshire also had their "Tonight" programme on in the 5.30 slot for a while too.

I bloody well won't be. To be honest ITV are getting on my nerves. They've cut half of The Price Is Right down for bloody I'm A Celeb rubbish. And now it'll be them two responsible for getting rid of the whole damn show!
