^^ Definitely agree with you there. So over-rated, and I can't help but feel this show will fail. Paul O'Grady's slot on Fridays didn't do to well, I believe this will do the same.

It is less about the guest, and always about him. Unless he has changed his interview style. Perhaps not!

It is, yet again, the typical move from BBC to ITV ending up in failure.

Whilst we are on the subject of chatshows, what's the deal with Ruth Jones' seasonal specials on BBC 2? She did a Christmas, Easter and the other week there was a Summer one.

If they think they're good, why not give her own show, if not why give her these specials.

I was wondering what the heck you were talking about, as had never heard of Ruth Jones' chatshow. Having now looked at it on Youtube, I reckon it is quite good in fact. But maybe in the "less is more" sense, in that a weekly may be overkill.

Anyway, I'm not holding out much hope for Ross, especially if they're keeping the green om. Why not just have the guests all on the set at once if they're going to do it like that, especially if they have to squeeze past a load of anonymous hangers on to get out of it.

He explains it on the Bacon Interview, it's partially a throw back to how the guests worked on his radio show, also It means that fans of partucular guests will stay watching

There was a clip shown on Daybreak of Adele's interview, the set is quite curvy, but very dark - lots of dark browns and yellows, I'm not sure what to make of it. It's a big contrast from the pink and red set that he had on the BBC.

All things aside, I like the look of that set, JK. Who is the male guest in the foto?

Set looks very American, maybe a deliberate move?

Well, if that's the case, why not just have them sat in a corner of the set. It seems even more contrived on the ITV show because they're the only people in there (which at least loses one of the problems with the Beeb show, with the squeezing) so blatantly it isn't the green room. Or, do what Graham Norton does and have them all interviewed at once, which I think works way better because I enjoy seeing them interact.

I hate the Graham Norton show format as it blurs the line as to who's being interviewed I like to have a clear indication of whether the interview has finished or not, the green room can keep the other guests invovled without them intruding on the intimacy of the interview. It also keep you looking forward to your favourite guest and doesn't dilute their input into the show.

I feel the green room part of is what make's Rossy's show better, I would have missed it if it was gone, where as the Four Puffs and a Piano element wasn't probably as it was a gimmick.

It was more or less the same show with a different set, no house band and ads, which is good.

The Graham Norton format works really well depending on the guests... the diverse the better: elderly actress, rapped, comedian etc
