Am I right in thinking Bob Monkhouse was in a few episodes? Or was that something else?

No you are absolutely correct he was in Jonathan Creek in an episode called The Scented Room.

I can appreciate what you're both saying. If it weren't for these 'adoring' fans, the likes of Alan Davies and Richard Wilson wouldn't have jobs, one could argue.

He just said on Richard & Judy that Sheridan Smith is his new side-kick
