Has anyone noticed that Jon Sopel seems to be everywhere at the moment - News 24, Weekend 24, the 6 - but Jane Hill's completely disappeared!

Has Jane been sacked? She's been off for over 3 weeks now - since CSO started. Do they have problems with CSO and her hair or something?

Has Jon Sopel now taken over from Gavin Esler as the main N24 anchor?

lol - well Jane has done CSO before on the BBC One CSO Setup in the politics show - she didn't look that hideous!

Gavin has left news 24 to present Newsnight since Jeremy Vine left for The Politics Show. It looks like Jon is becoming the main anchor.

I think you'll find that the primary reason JV left was to replace Jimmy Young on Radio 2!

Perhaps Jane is busy working on the relaunch - maybe they're keeping her out the back, to help them test bits of the studio as it is built.

Then when the relaunch happens, they'll bring her back out in front of the public as part of the huge publicity drive that they are most probably going to have.

Yeah, because it makes sense to have a high profile presenter "out the back" testing out the studio like some skivvy - *not*

I believe there is an issue with Jane's expressive eye brows when on the CSO.... this a rumour I've heard

Still don't understand everyone's love for Sopel. I find him boring, not very good to look at and too nervous. Hill is alright, probably one of News 24's biggest assets.

Well on the same token, I can't stand Jane Hill with her pompousness, up-in-herself attitude and eyebrows. And what's with the constant errrs and ahhhs? She's not as easy to listen to as say, somebody like Julie Etchingham on Sky.
