Jon Desborough (Sky sailing, motor racing, basketball correspondent) is back on board Norwich Union on the BT Global Challenge heading back into Southampton.
He was on the leg in the South Seas in March & SN were showing LIVE BROADCASTS from the BOAT in the SOUTH SEAS using sat phone technology. The BBC, or anyone else for that matter, has EVER tried anything as adventerous.
JD even ANCHORED A SPORTS BUILLETIN from the boat in March. He interviewed Ellen MacArther (sp?) who had just arrived back from her round the world thing & he did the interview with Ellen, who was on the South Bank.
He left South France yesterday for Southampton - he's got better weather than he had in the South Seas some days!
