Does anyone else still feel miffed about the loss
of John stapletons chat show
that used to air every weekday at 10 am
just before the rich and judy show
John was a great presenter, it was a great
studio audience talk show, it moved around the
country, Norwich manchester, glasgow etc.
It was always interesting, the audience were
great, often a few celebs dotted amongst them
John was in his Prime, he loved the show
and he was the perfect host
Then for some unfathomable reason ITV pulled the plug
Poor John was relegated to breakfast TV
The boorish Tricia took over the slot with a
new dumbed down format, the audence were no longer
centre stage, but some oiks from essex,
some oik with a tattoo thru his nose and not much between his ears
telling tricia that he had finally stopped beating his wife.
I gave up after the first few programmes,
I still cant believe that ITV shafted John Stapletons classy talk
show and gave us that crap in its place.
This must have all happened way back in 1997 or around then
Rich and Judy moved to London, and their show became bland
too, ITV and its process of dumming down goes on and on !
