Yeah, John Hammond is really good - I used to find his style smarmy and a bit fake on the ITV weather, but he really seems to have found himself a niche on the BBC.
He's not nearly as good as Corbett, but I reckon he's threatening McElwee in second place!!! Indeed, with Dan in the morning/afternoon and John in the evening on BBC1 it's been quite a good day for decent, interesting, engaging weather forecasts on the Beeb.

It was very amusing yesterday ~ Peter and Paul from BBC Look North were making fun of Dan because of that cracker of a line, something like 'then the flood gates open' and a funny sound effect.
