Same old story Andrew. Remember ITV announced that all regional broadcasts were to be reduced for the English regions? Well Jobfinder and presumably Eastern Cinema were part of that. Gone.
They had a break from showing the Eastern Cinema films during last xmas but that was only for 1 week, but I may be wrong.
The next 2 shows after the National Lampoon film are both signed, that may be a possible reason for no film. It does look like Jobfinder has been scrapped as well.
Carlton Central dropped their Jobfinder show a while back, perhaps there has been a change from the ITC that allows this.
This also means the asian dub of Community Link will have fallen by the wayside as well.
It will be interesting how YTV refer to all this in their statement of regional programmes for 2003. Probably using some sort of terminology like 'YTV has agreed to the rationalisation of regional output set down by the ITV Network' and 'Due to changes by the network, YTV no longer provides X, Y and Z'

You'll probably find they use the word 'coherent' a lot in whatever they say. Probably something along the lines of:
"In order to present a more streamlined and simplified ITV1 schedule, Yorkshire Television has agreed to increase the amount of network timeslots in it's schedule to present a more coherent viewing pattern for it's viewers. This has been made possible by bringing our regional production into line with the new ITC guidelines governing the amount of regional programmes we produce. This will result in a reduction in the number of regional slots, but those that remain will now be more accessible and clearer for viewers. This has also meant that with fewer regional productions to worry about, we will be able to commit additional resources to our remaining regional programmes, which continue to outnumber those on BBC1. Yorkshire Television feels certain that the changes can only be beneficial to viewers, who will benefit from both a more rationalised, coherent ITV1 schedule, and increased production values from their regional programmes. Yorkshire Television is commited to providing a high quality regional service for our viewers, and the changes can only help to ensure this.
"In a multi-channel world distinctiveness becomes even more important. What has always made Yorkshire Television distinctive is the range and diversity of programming it has produced for viewers across the region, and our commitment to this remains strong.
Yorkshire Television supports proposals to introduce a greater standardisation of regional programme hours on ITV to strengthen the channel nationally and regionally. Yorkshire commits to ensure that even if the quantity of output is affected, the overall quality of the service is maintained"
That latter paragraph is obviously written by the "Yorkshire Television Talking Bollocks Department" whose previous works included selling Channel 3 North East to the tees and tynesiders!
