I wonder if every region had contestants on Bullseye. I haven’t seen anyone from Border yet or any in Scotland.

If they were from London did he say they were from LWT?

I wonder if they ever had anyone on from Channel TV, that would have blown Jim’s mind.

There seemed to be an high number of contestants from Central. I suppose it will have saved on the BFH

There has been at least one team from Scottish Television and 1 from Border Television in the shows today.

I've also seen contestants from Granada and TSW today.

There was definitely contestants from Grampian as well but can't remember which series they appeared on.

If there was contestants from London, it was always 'Thames' IIRC.

There were some contestants in Grampian earlier. Jim was extremely impressed to hear they lived 'far far north' 25 miles outside of Aberdeen.

The London contestants were announced as 'From London Weekend' by Nick. And also the contestants from Wales or the West were announced as 'From Harlech', though HTV hadn't been known as that for many years.

Could they have actually been from Harlech? Wink

Some saucy gags for what went out at teatime on a Sunday. You wouldn’t get gags like these on TV today

Since Series 3 of Bullseye is on the air, here's an ideal opportunity to post (or repost - whatever) this extract from Central's Christmas Tape 1983, aka "Bullseye for Channel 4" Smile

That clip has always fascinated me a bit, it looks like it's been edited from a longer recording and the jokes range from silly innuendos to just bizarre randomness that presumably made more sense to early 80s Central staff.

Did pre 1985 Bullseye air on Challenge before Sky bought the channel? I know when UK Gold had the series they showed them (some YouTube clips are from these showings as they have the UK Gold DOG of the time bottom left).

Yep the 1984 series was shown by Challenge in 2004, but they weren’t shown for long and then didn’t resurface until after it became Sky owned.

I've always wondered if there was a longer version. Comments on other uploads of this clip claim it is how it is and others say there's a longer version lurking around somewhere.
